Well it just goes to prove that rednecks aren't only in the South!

But I'm not really surprised. We see step ladders screwed onto the decks of skiffs, center consoles and bay boats all the time. They are used here as spotting towers for the cobia run on the panhandle beaches. No real load except for fat fishermen.

As far as the danger involved in what those guys are doing?

Darwin theory applies. Just culling the weak minded.

Hey, anything that works.
Think how easy that is to put down for the garage, and you have no trouble getting out of the boat when it's pulled up on the trailer.

I'd love to see video of the guy sitting on the ladder getting whipped in the face when the rope broke.

I once saw a guy try and be the tower himself, as in standing straight up and holding the rope above his head. Didn't happen...

The ladder companies will have to add this to the long list of things ladder's arent designed for. I could just see a company getting sued. None the less... pretty comical to see!!

Looks like the rider in the 1st pic is wearing a helmet...seems like sufficient protection for when a ladder comes flying at you.

Thought I'd seen it all, but that one even beats the 2x4 tower.
