My bro is wanting a new board, he is 10 and is a pretty good rider. He is looking at the Ronix Bill and the Mana. What would you recommend?

Depends on his style, the mana is relatively slow and controlled. On the other hand the bill is fast and meant for going big into the flats with a longer rope length. If he is 10 I would probably say the mana is better IMO.

He likes loose boards and he doesn't really go into the flats. He rides at slow speeds with short ropes.

My vote would be for
hyperlite - Premier 131(#1 pick) - Motive 119 (if he is tiny) - Imperial 130

The ronix boards you listed

LF Trip 130

He is about the size of a 13 year old. He's a beast! He is taller than some people that are my age. Nick, which one of the Ronix boards do you think would be good for him?

I've never been on the Bill... so I would have to vote for the Mana, but if you're looking at all the way up to a 134 I might go with an Ibex, he won't be going into the flats with this, just straight up pop.

Or if he is pretty good a 134 Slingshot board maybe good, they are super light so he can throw it around easy, they're really loose, and the flex is super fun....

If he is pretty big I would go either 134 Ibex or Slingshot Recoil

I rode the Bill Board behind OWC's 230. It was too short for me but it was a blast anyway! It had that looser feel it sounds like he is looking for. Its probably the least edgiest board in the line. I was on a Mana earlier this season and it was just a little to "locked in" for me. I typically ride a LF Shane and really like the loose and relaxed ride it has. The Bill (although it doesnt ride exactly like the Shane) has that more relaxed feel.

How big are the molded in fins on the mana or is it more the 1 inch removable fin that gets it a little more locked in?

It feels to me its the edge (its fairly sharp) more than anything that "lock it in" I think I rode the mana without a center fin. Im not sure of the size of the fins but its gotta be on ronixwake.com

I ride the kai mana set up and that thing is no where near loose. I ride it without the center fin and it is way tighter of a ride than both my lf trip and my lf ps3. I think continous rocker has more controllable pop coming of the lf trip, really easy to control. The mana is a good board none the less though, it doesn't take long to figure out the pop on any board but the mana will never be fast or loose.

Darren I am currently on a 06 murray and am having issues with switch riding as it is a very loose board. Is the mana an easy board to break loose for surface 180s and just locked in on edge or is it just a stuck down board?
