I am going houseboating on shasta this weekend and putting in at shasta marina resort. This will be my first time there. Any suggestions on a good place to set up? I will be lost so any help would be cool. Thanks in advance.

It is so big that just about anywhere you want to stop along the shoreline is a good spot. The Pit arm or the McCloud are good spots, you will see people in all of the coves just find one that is open and beach it. One thing you are going to want to do is move the boat everyday off of the beach a couple of feet or you will be stuck there from the water residing.
