Ok is it just me or near the end of this "Rewritten Teaser" is Brandon Thomas on a bi-leval skate? You can see it really good when he is hitting a rail and the camera is looking right at the board.

Wow, Byerly giving back to hyperlite, i guess you could say... not that he wasn't before or anything.

the 2009 vinyl is the same blueish color so... i guess that explains the color hahaha

The new bi level vinyl is nothing like the Byerly Blend. The Vinyl has a wood top deck with tons of snap, the bottom deck is is very similar to the vinyl. Again this is a completely different ride and shape vs. the Blend.

I concurr with 'Deep" ^...Vinyl has a different bottom. i have Scott's Bi-lvl and it seems looser to me, which i like. They are pretty similar but definately different bottom decks & pretty much the same size/shape, but with different channels in the nose/tail. I personally like Scotts skate. Demo both if you can, otherwise, in my opinion, if you like a looser feel on the water, then Scotts, a grippier feel, Brandons. Hope that helps...

Has anyone ever rode one? I haven't really heard any news on either board, good or bad.

last summer i started out riding the Byerly Blend, loved the board. I then jumped onto the Hyperlite Vinyl once it came into the shop. i personally didnt feel any difference in the two boards. ive heard the only thing they changed in the two boards is the B.T's has 2 extra little channels in it. and yes B.T was riding the Blend with a special Hyperlite graphic on it. both boards are pretty rad. just pretty big, and a little on the heavy side.
