Can someone comment on this lens. I just purchased a Rebel XT with the 18-55mm lens and I am looking for a second lens that I can shoot wakeboarding with. I am a beginner when it comes to DSLR's, so I'm not looking for anything super high tech. I want something that will give me a decent picture when zooming in to something 75-100 feet away (meaning a wakeboarder from the boat). I am used to point and shoot cameras, but want to get more into learning about shooting wakeboarding photography with a DSLR. Also, if I were to purchase this lens used (used approx. 12 times), what would be a good price to offer?
Also, if this lens absolutely sucks, then what others would you recommend? Is this lens any good...
