I finally got some pictures up since i've been without my camera. This is 2 weekends ago starting the stereo. I'm out with a buddy at my fathers house on the water. I also met Steve W. from WW dropping his ride off at LakeSide Audio, he has a clean Supreme. Enjoy!
P.S. What do you guys think of totally taking the X Decals on the sides off? If i'm going to remove it I want to do it before I get any fade. Suggestions??

Sick boat, and hats off on the 'safety first' approach with that saw

I'd leave the decals... That's a great looking boat!

I noticed the 'xaggie' user name... I use to work with some aggie-grads, in the construction business... Everything they bought was maroon and white, if it was available... Any coincidence? :-)

Very nice Matt!

50/50 Blake, I didn't know it would look that Maroon, but I wasn't disappointed either. My 3 previous boats have been Yellow lower and White upper and deck so it was more of just changing it up.

That boat looks sweet with the decals on!

Sweet colour dude!!

Keep the decals.. I think it would be too plain otherwise.

Matt,
Glad to see some pics up of the 07 XStar ride finally up!! Now show us some pics of that sweet as* audio setup you been working on, I can't wait to feel it.
I think you should keep the decals, and BTW I have the crown royal ready to deploy.

Ditch the decals, looks way cleaner. My X2 and a friends star both naked.

The decals tie the tower to the hull. I wouldn't touch them.

Steve: I still double over laughing about the Crown being ready to deploy! It's on this Summer with WAY to loud Texas Country.

Marco: I love the thoughts on your Fav. rider. Please tell me you have more pics of Greg's(?) boat, thats what I'm looking for.

Old     (liquidmx)      Join Date: Jun 2005       03-12-2007, 11:29 PM Reply
It would be cool to leave the X and star but ditch the flames and excess junk that has been added to the decal, but its prob all one piece huh?
Old     (xaggie)      Join Date: Nov 2002       03-12-2007, 11:32 PM Reply
No Cody, just the Yellow/White '04 X-Star that I put up with my buddy's FJ (possibly the X-30's I used to have). Do you ride most of the time in CS (Byan) or in Houston? I can't figure out from your pic. Thanks all of you guys for the nice comments. It was a little scary to go for something different after 4 seasons of the same color scheme. Matt A.

I thought leave it until I saw the pic that Marco posted. I think that looks pretty tight. Definitely has me thinking for next year.

Sorry for the hi-jack... Andrew Davis, Saw your response about being on "Lake Houston"? I too am on Lake Houston.... Just trying to network with other riders.... We were out earlier this week, across from Duessen Park... Still chilly but bearable... I'll keep an eye out for your boat next time we're out....

Thanks Marco I would appreciate it.

Matt, I assume being barefooted, kneeling down, and cutting on the lawn. Thats how we roll on the weekends, I guess all my safety habits go out the window.

Cheers, guys

Sorry Matt I met a guy last season that had a BU and his name was Matt as well. I ride in Bryan. We are going to start hitting some lakes around here this year. Just not sure where the good spots are yet. Sweet boat, I think it looks clean without the stickers.

Matt,
I think I'd keep the decal. My new boat is almost identical to yours, only with a black hull. We did pull one side decal off my boat and I thought it looked a little plain so I'm putting it back on.

Off with the decals - way classier!

I say either way...you gotta bad a$$ boat with or with out the decals!

Leave the decals! The best looking X-Star graphics to date plus they don't overwhelm the eye. You still see plenty of red. Recommend you shop around hard for the registration numbers that complement the graphics. Nothing worse than the block registration numbers. Clunky looking crap on a beautiful boat is just wrong. Nice ride, I've got boat envy!

Matt, may i ask what you do for a profession that allows you to buy this kinda of boat?
Old     (xaggie)      Join Date: Nov 2002       03-17-2007, 9:54 AM Reply
JHG - I got in on the domed # group buy. I did the lettering in "triple chrome shadow" i.e. just like the MC Logo on the stern.

Ethan - I have been very fortunate to have a family that has boated since I was very young. If you want my whole story I posted it all in the "entry level boat thread", but needless to say the housing market the last couple of years has been kind to me. Just hard work my friend.

I made a decision about the graphics everyone, hold on to your panties and I'll have pics of the finished stereo (90% at least) and hopefully something to add to the boat bun thread after the weekend.

Matt - i can't seem to find your entry level boat thread? im not sure where im looking

everyone here seems so quick to rip graphics off their boat for the "clean" look, but clean =/ plain to me. Those decals look just fine, leave them on imo.

Ethan http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/420525.html

It's a long thread full of good examples of what all of us no matter what our means do to have fun in this sport. I've been fortunate with MC, but I can honestly say that WakeWorld has been the best source of information that I have ever had the misfortune to stumble upon. I'd seriously consult this board before I ever called my dealer if I had a problem with my boat. Minus a few jokers around here, this is the end all be all of wakeboat knowledge.

Hope i'm not too off base here but I think that will take care of you Ethan.

Beautiful boat Matt. I like it all; boat, color AND graphics !

That boat looks horrible no matter what you do... I would just leave the decals on the boat and give it to me. That would be easier than taking the decals off and giving it to me.

Matt...when you gonna post some updated pics of your setup? I can't hear the Fowler, or Robert Earl Keen from here?? Lets see the finished product bro.
