Help A Newbie Out with advice! (camcorder)

I was looking at some cameras i want advice on they are as follows:

Canon:
GL 1
GL 2

Sony:
Sony DCR-VX2100
Sony DCR-VX1000

Panasonic:
Panasonic AG-DVC60 3-CCD

JVC:
JVC GYDV300

I am looking for a good camcorder for wakeboarding and tubing footage. If you have any other suggestions in the $1,000.00 post it! If any of you guys out there use any of these camcorders can you tell me how you like them! thanks a ton!

i say the 2100, but i havent seen the panasonic one thou......

I'd go for the GL1 which I think you should be able to get for a grand. Forget the VX1000 it's too old. The Panny, VX2000/2100 or GL2 would be better but I think that will blow your budget. Another excelent 3 chip is the Sony TRV900. If you see any of my old vids they were done with it.

Theres a canon gl 2 ending in 2 days thats at $810
