The weather was great @ Sonoma last Saturday but there were way to many boats I've got to stick to Fridays.

I'm still going, but I'm in Florida and I don't think we really have an "off season" except maybe part of Jan/Feb??

Last weekend was the end. It got up to 70, but the water was around 50. All the docks were already out, so I dove in as always and found it chilly. No wet suits here!! if we weren't so paranoid of the boat freezing at night, i'd definetly have another week or 2

Here's what we were up against today. Really rough conditions on the delta.... heehee! Water temps were around 70. Time to bring out the neoprene tops...

That even looks nicer than it was on saturday! Saturday was nice, low 80's, slight breeze, and only 4 or 5 boats, but that looks even better!

Went out Sat. here in Vancouver, WA air was 78, water was on the cold side. Rode off and on for three hours. It may have been the last time? The weatherman is forcasting 76 tomorrow , not bad for this time of the year in the great NW!

WE went out about three days ago, water temp was 66 degrees so it wasnt too bad. no wetsuit was needed. i say once you get under 60 you better be wearing some gear.

Sunday October 19, I took my boat out of the water. With the exception of the Travis/Murray training camp this weekend, I won't be riding again until next Spring.

Went out this morning - it was a cold 85 degrees (air temp) before noon and it was overcast. The water was almost unbearably cold. I might have to bring a spare t-shirt to wear after I get out of the water next time if it gets too much colder here. Florida sucks.
Old    svfara            10-20-2003, 6:05 PM Reply
Made it out Saturday, both Water and Air temps in the mid 50's
Sadly, it's probably the last time out until spring (I hope not!)

Cliff - I was going to give that guy a lot of crap for wearing that wetsuit, but then he landed a ts backroll and I was forced to shut up. hahahahah

i'm afraid this might be the worst for the temp, we're unlucky enough to be english and as its october the water temp is down to 10degree celcius, think thats around 50fahrenheit. Full suits, gloves etc, and the problem is that its going to be colder cause its only autumn

Old     (jklein)      Join Date: May 2001       10-23-2003, 2:27 PM Reply
We're going riding this weekend in Folsom, CA. Should be in the mid 80's.

Hey Stefani- those pictures on the 19th look like Tracy Oasis. We went riding on wed. great water, dead battery on camera, water is cold but bearable for the great conditions

I am not sure about the naked wakeboarding I have a fear of slapping my "rudder" on the the water. Jetgofish/Teri, is it just me or did the water temp drop really fast this year, even in Sept. it was cold up by railroad.
Old    jetgofish            10-25-2003, 6:21 PM Reply
Richard,

It totaly dropped fast! I'll be riding tomorrow Sunday! Maybe I will see you out there!

Teri,

Hopefully we make it out, we usually ride through the S's on the way to Union Point and down Victoria depending on wind if any, hope to see you out there!

When you live in australia you dont stop boarding. You can go in the water in winter with only a wetsuit.
