I am considering installing my own french drains. I thought that it would make the install easier if I could quickly figure the elevation both at the drain and at the discharge site. Do any of yall know of an iphone app that shows elevation in inches? The only ones that I found were either in feet or meters.
thanks

that will work as long as it gives the fraction. I guess that i was assuming that it would only give the whole #

I hate to say it but they don't have an app for an iphone that is anywhere near that accurate. You need to rent survey equipment I rented a level for $55 for a week.

Yeah I wouldn't rely on that for accuracy. I downloaded the level and thought it would be cool to use it when leveling the toy hauler. It sucks! Not even close!

all you need is a couple of stakes, a piece of twine and a good level. It wil be accurate enough.

hammer the stakes in the ground . tie the twine around them...level the twine...measure down to the ground at whatever point you want....you can then tell the elevation.
