Speaker Suggestions?

I am looking for new speakers for my boat (91 sanger DX). I would like some input and opinions on the what some good speakers would be. We will be barefooting off of the boom quite a bit and the speakers will more than likely come in contact the their fair share of water. I am thinking of using either 4 6x9's or 4 6.5's. And maybe if needed at a later date adding a small sub. I have no tower and do not see one in my near future. So please no tower speaker suggestions. Who makes the best sounding marine environment speakers for my application. Also would you guys go with 6x9 or 6.5? I also may run a small 4 channel amp to these dudes to help them out a little. I've heard that the new Wet Sounds 6.5" co-ax are going to be pretty sick.
