I am looking for a new cga vest and I wanted to see which vests had the most flexibility/ range of motion, fit well, aren't too bulky, etc. And I wear a small/ medium if that helps.

I just got a new Helium SWAT Paisley vest and I really really like it. Nice big arm holes, side entry, good mobility.

They have a bunch of clearance right now:

mine was 50 bucks after tax and shipping

I recently got a Jet Pilot Recoil and I'm pretty happy with it.
It's a side entry, pretty comfy and has a good look to it.I held it up to my comp vest and as far as looks go,it;s about the same,
except it has really good flotation, which is important.

I came from the Helium SWAT Paisley and just got in the 2010 murray vest WOW, most flexible vest with big arm/neck.... I don't think they could of made a better vest and I hate anything that isn't side entry

I originally purchased an O'neill "Law" a couple of weeks ago for $130 bucks and it was nice but super bulky. I returned it after going to Sams Club 1 week later. Believe it or not, Sams Club has this really nice Body Glove CGA vest that's sleek/thin and it's got tappered forms down the right/left sides. It's got some cool style graphics to it as well. I picked up a size "medium" and I'm 6ft 190lbs. The XL O'neill that I purchased previously was a tank compared to the Body Glove and I can't believe the size differences. I think mostly it's because the Body Glove one is so much more tailored (probably for cost savings). I've used the Body Glove for the last 3 weekends and I think it rocks. Best part though??!!!?? It's only $38 bucks!!!! I ended up purchasing 3 different vests (s/m/l) for the price of the one O'neill. I think between me and all of my friends, we have 10 of these total now.

You really think the Law is super bulky? It's thinner than the jetpilot side entries I have. What year did you buy?

Chris, which Jet Pilots do you have? Some of the old side entry CGAs were pretty bulky

I'm trying to decide between the Murray or Recoil. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Which is better?

I've got a Law and a Murray and like them both. I think the Law might be a little higher quality but both are great jackets.

i am 5'6" if you are short the hyperlite side entry fits well and has plenty of arm room and very flexible.i also have a jet pilot bonifay vest it seems to be made for taller rider. it's hard for me to bend at the waist with the jet pilot on.
