Believe it or not, after a little TLC the camera now looks brand new, what can I say, its a Nikon.

I know I read that, but NO ONE in their right mind would drop $7000.00 and just say "what can i say it's a nikon" All my gear is on my Homeowners policy so if (which it has) my camera falls in the water, I don't have to freak out about it too much.

I guarantee that he has his camera insured!
