2005 Malibu Proto-Type!!!

This is the Malibu Proto-Type for the Largest Tow Boat yet. It is still on the drawing board and hasn't even been built yet. It's a D-drive and has alot of cool options. Not all of these things may make it to the Final Product. It is estimated at an MSRP of $68,000. What is your opinion of it so far???

That sounds cool. it would be interesting having around 20 foot between the driver and the swim platform.

Those are incredible plans. Now if we could just get the engineers to listen to what we (the end user) want. I especially like options 8 and 11. They give it a nice finishing touch.

I'm pretty sure their engineers don't hand draw plans with pencil and paper.

Mastercraft already has a new Maristar that is the same size (roughly 28 feet)...less the BBQ of course.

i'd say get rid of the enclosed head, and the bow ladder. add more cupholders. one per person is never enough. people put more than just their drinks in the cupholders. and they don't always sit in the same place

I think they should add a viewing area on top of the tower like at the Wakesurfing worlds. As well as board racks to accomidate 13 boards. Maybe a hot tub too.

Just got the specs for the Mastercraft 280 VLD off their website. Not quite as wide as our young artist's vision, but impressive just the same. Length 28'3" Width 9'6" Lenght w/trailer 34'3" Dry weight 5200lbs Fuel capacity 88 gallons Seating capacity 15 persons. As with most boat company sites, the price is not listed, but I'm sure I can't afford it. If anyone out there has one, can I bum a pull?

What a bunch of puppets you guys are. Are there no points for creativity. It's obvious he was joking about the Malibu proto-type stuff and wanted to share what he thought would be a cool boat and what I'd consider to be a pretty decent drawing.

Carry on with your dog piling, reminds me of the kids in school that were all tough when they were in a group but when you caught them alone, they'd cower like a little girl.

As for the ballast, if you took the time to look at the drawing, that's obviously a seat on the port side, I'm sure he was refering to 2k of ballast total. (Which won't be enough for a boat that size

).

BTW, anyone remember how the new X-star got it's start?

I actually really like the design, however it looks VERY similar to the 22 foot Sea Ray sun deck minus the BBQ, TV, and ballast bag. How big would this boat be? (didn't read whole post, sorry if you said how big the boat was going to be)

I think to pictures are pretty freak'n funny.

And the kids could have said check out my design for a new malibu. It doesn't appear to have any sarcasm or anything remotely hinting at humor. I think he took this board for a bunch of morons who would believe that he, being a 16 year old student, got his hands on a pencil drawn prototype sketch of a 2005 Malibu. I daresay he drew this in study hall.

I thought it was a good effort, but you're 16, I expect more, next time Draw it to technical spec. It'll be more convincing that way. But I think the boat looks cool. (well any boat with a bbq is cool IMO).
