Wake and Winch'n' in the paper

Last weeks local news paper (Lake Powell Chronicle Wednesday July 1 2009) did a little article about wakeboarding and the winch at antelope point marina. It was quite entertaining to read, especially when the paper called it a Wench. there was even mention about hoping to bring the next years bro stock to antelope to help control it more... though a plausible idea i don't see that happening easily when LiquidForce goes through Aramark and Wahweap resort, not Antelope...

...ANYWAY,
here is a photo that went with it and an advertisement for the winch... which is not up to date. they use a Urban Rider Winch now, which they picked up from the Urban Rider guys at the last Bro-Stock. The winch is also set up on a higher podium, about 16ft. above water.



i just wish i could use the thing, every time i plan/go to use it (8 times and counting) something comes up where it is not running Arghhh! doesn't help that it is not open on Monday either... silly op. times
