Looking at a 2009 a22 with 650 hrs. Boat looks to be in good shape from photos. They are asking 39k. Just curious on what you guys think would be a good price to pay?

There is a 2010 pretty well optioned on OIB with 350 hours for 41K so I think they are a bit high considering. Maybe 35K.

Seems a bit high. I agree with RB, mid rather than high 30's.

I thought it was a little high also. I could handle paying mid 30's considering age and hours. It was just listed for sale so I hope they are willing to reduce after a few weeks or so. Looking to make my first wake boat purchase.

Seems pretty high. There's a 2013 A22 being sold in my area for $41K.

297 hours on it.

It's not moving either. Been selling at that price for at least 3 months.

Thats surprising! It seems the axis line isn't holding value a well as other brands? I have looked at some in my local area and they are nice boats but values in my area are running very high. Local dealer has at 2013 with 100 hrs for $53k

Same dealer also has a 13 a22 with 650hrs for $43k but this was also a club boat.

Well I would imagine part of the problem with them not holding value is a lack of surfgate. Why would you pay 50k for a boat when you could be a new T in the mid to high 50's with surfgate?

I agree with that as well. In my case I can load up with an extra bag with the savings on a a22 without surfgate

More power to ya man. I would have scooped a 13 for 41 when I was boat shopping in second but a lot of buyers want the instant gratification and not having to sink a boat to surf.

I would love to have surf gate by all means but when your on a budget for your first wakeboat it puts that option out of the question.

I don't think surfgate is the reason they're less expensive, I think it's the fact that it's a 6 year old boat and was the first year model of that boat and probably was in the 4X,XXX range when new. That's actually really good resale. There are many new features that have been added to the boat since that model year which make the newer ones more desirable. I would say that $35k would be fair, but if I were the seller, I would FIRM at that number.

Of course condition, maintenance records, options and region all play a factor in resale value. We don't know any of that.

Strange that a 2013 has that graphics package on it. I thought they ditched that for 2013 boats and went with just the raised letter Axis logo on the rear section. Everything else about it is definitely 2013.

Could be a very early boat off the line. Also agree that they are holding well Tom but imho they took a slight hit with the combination of higher quality now and lack of surfgate. Its not catastrophic as people are essentially losing under 10k over 6 years (which is incredible) but I think the later models like 2012's on w/o gate will suffer more in resale.

The reason the older boats are holding so well is just the general escalation of boats. Its not like it was when you have multiple choices at 40-50k for a new boat.

Off topic a litte but how would a moomba lsv 08-10 compare to the axis a22. I have only seen and demoed an axis. Anyone tried out both boats?

Axis wake will be WAYY better than the Moomba in that year range.

Yeah, you're right to an extent. The market is finicky. Good think I'm not planning on selling anytime soon!

$35-37k is a fair price if the boat has been well kept. I purchased a '12 A22 for 49k last summer. It's our first wakeboat and had the options I wanted. A new t22 with the gate could have been had for $10k more before taxes. I looked for an Axis from January until June last year and the best price I found was on a 2011 for $43k in March and I didn't move quick enough to buy it.
