but mostly likely it will get aired in a crappy time slot and most of us will miss it....thats kind of how i find mtv works

this should be good (depending on Mtv's editing). not sure how much they will show but Mtv came to BG with this girl on a Hyperlite board and he almost lost it. We got her a GB care package w/ a Mary Jane to ride and he gave her the "you'll ride much better on a GB board, who Gator is, and I'm proud to ride for him so you should be too" speach.

The look on the Hyperlite reps face at the final INT stop when he saw her with a GB board was priceless.

The thing I have against that show is that that all the people on it want to go pro at whatever thing they are trying for all the wrong reasons. Like the one girl who wanted to be a pro bmxer. She didn't even really ride (or want to ride) bmx at all, she just liked the image that being a pro represented. Defeats the whole "ride for fun" idea that all extreme sports have. Kinda lame.

Well I can say 1st hand with the up-coming wakeboard episode that the intention was never to make Joan a "pro". I personally don't think that should be the reason anyone 1st gets in to the sport.

This girl wanted to get out on the water & experience the wakeboard lifestyle that we all enjoy. Just like in the BMX episode, this girl hadn't really ridden before and wanted to be able to be comfortable on a board before attempting to hang out with other boarders.

I think it's cool that Mtv and the coaches involved set a hard to reach goal for the kids. It makes them feel that much better about themselves when they accomplish them.

also... this puts wakeboarding in front of a huge mainstream audience. Maybe it will help us get more than 30 seconds of coverage at big events like the X-Games.

Man wouldn't that be awesome to be her though. Having a pro teach you for a month or however long that show is, and just wakeboarding non-stop. To top it off, you'd be on t.v. repping the sport you love.

yeah i coulda swore i saw the little preview yesterday for it during the made marathon, and she was riding a Hyperlite w/ Pixie Bindings.

That girl doesn't know how good she's got it and how much we envy her getting to wakeboard non-stop with a pro. Is this MADE thing free? Because I'd totally consider signing up for it just to get trained by a pro, with the latest equipment, and tons of wakeboarding...even if it's on MTV.

Just saw the commercial for it.....one of the guys said "she just wants to do this to be liked, its not going to work"

...hahahahaha At least no more telling the world "it's like snowboarding on water behind a boat" hahahahah. Wakeboard sales are going to skyrocket! And the average Joe is going to recognize GB before HL... hahahahahahaah! Good marketing GB!
