Hey yall,
I was just wondering how much weight everyone is using in their boats this season? In my buddys super air we used about 4 sacks and a ton of lead and weights. Overkill?

I have a 92 MC Prostar 205. We use a fat seat in the back, a sac in the front ski locker, and misc. 85lb fat sac block things depending on how many people on the boat. Anywhere from 1575lbs to 1745lbs just in sacs. The wake is more than enough and is pretty huge.

weight the boat so the rubrail sits level with the water and put enough weight so it barely makes it to speed.

we used to put soooo much weight in my friends X star...I remeber one occasion where we had all the normal phat sacks full(maybe 3 or 4?) and then we had probably 10 people on the boat. The wake was HUGE. It took so long to plane out, we had to have like 5 guys up front leaning over the bow and it would plane like 45 seconds later. not to surprising but his boat broke from too much weight on a seperate occasion

Ryan, what do you mean broke? The hull cracked?

I'm running about 2200lbs this season, but all of the weight is currently behind the driver seat. Once we get the boat moored in the marina we will get it totally dialed in and will probably put another 300lbs or so up front.

I am running 1000lbs in the back of my VLX, 1100 up front, and the wedge down. This is when I have a full boat of people. When I don't, I load up some more sacs as I don't need as much room, and say forget the wedge.

i have about 2100 lbs in my X-Star and the wake is really nice. i have standard ballast full (1100) and then 700 lbs in the rear compartment and 350 lbs in the bow. thinkin of adding a little more to the bow using some lead.
