Hey all

So my wife and I are planning to go away somewhere tropical (carribeanish) for our anniversary. It is pretty far away and in the planning stages. I was wondering if anyone is aware of any resorts that have a decent wakeboat? This may help in the decision making process. Thanks.

Sandals Negril. Place is cool. They have a prostar anf its included in the all inclusive package. There is a thread that you can find in the search.

No resorts with decent wakeboats here but if you end up going to Costa Rica I know a good place to ride . Aruba has a wakeboardschool too. Dominican Republic I think has some decent places to ride. That's from the top of my head that I know where to ride "carribeanish".

Dont waste your time or money worrying about wakeboarding in the Carribbean. I've taken sets at most of them.. Don't spend the money for your gear, etc. Just go out on their gear, shred about and enjoy the sight of the clear water.. They don't run ballast, often times use stretch ski ropes, don't hold speed and more often than not, there are rollers.. Just go and do it and enjoy for what it is.. Don't go out of your way to make it work. Not worth the money or hassle. Show up, strap on their CWB Sol and take some cuts and smile.

I'd probably take jeff_mn's advice. It can be a lot of work for a 20 minute set and if the conditions are poor or boat/rope is poor you will be disappointed even if you brought your own board.
