I never charge my batteries. I've had 2 blue tops in my boat for the last five years. That being said, I think it would be a good idea to at least have one on hand!

So what is a good charger that won't break the bank? I'm not too far from the boat but it would be better to have something that I can live hooked up and not have to go back all the time to disconnect.

-Thanks

Thanks Adam. Can you buy those locally?

Any other suggestions?

If you're looking for something to leave hooked up, the Battery Tender is the only way to go. I bought the two lead version. Leave it hooked up all winter long. Works great! I think I paid $75 on Amazon for it. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

This is the one I bought. A little more than $75, but worth it.

As it's been mentioned, if you have larger deep cycle batteries, it's better to have a higher amp trickle charger.

soniel makes chargers identical to batteyr tender, but makes them with higer amps for larger deep cycle applications. I also have the 1.25 amp battery tender charger.

I use the battery tenders on my jet skis..pontoon/wakebaord baoat have the soneil chargers
