Last night I swapped my Acme 15" x12 prop for a 15" x 14

All on the boat thought the quality of the surf wave better with the 15x14. It seemed cleaner on the lip with less wash, and also seemed longer. This was unexpected.

I'm curious if others have noticed a change in wave quality with prop change, or are we just imagining it?

Aside from the quality of the wave, the lower pitched prop suits the application better with a better hole shot and better speed holding under heavy ballast.

Thanks.

I noticed the difference when I changed props to a smaller pitch. There was much more wash, probably due to the added rpms.

JS...that makes sense and helps validate what we observed. Thanks. I'm going to take advantage of my 30 day return policy and play around with both for now.
