My stereo finally took a crap on me and tomorrow i'm gonna put a new one in. On my last boat I just spliced the new stereo wires to the existing ones on the boat(yes, I know that's ghetto but it works). Is that the easiest way to do it or do they make a harness especially for boats?......Or is there a direct crossover for a car that would fit?

Thanks in advance.

Just took my boat in for stereo install and they had to hard wire it. There may be a harness out there but when I dropped off the boat the stereo shop told me they do charge more for boats because they do have to hard wire them. I could be wrong but to me this meant no harness is available.
