What would anybody recommend for a hyperlite board that has the best vertical pop without throwing you into the wake super hard. I like going high not far. I will be getting a pretty good discount on a hyperlite board so thats why I am not going with other brands. Thanks

B-Side or Sub-6

I second the Imperial, but I only rode it for a day. It has crazy pop but many people really hated the ride of the board. I personally liked the board, and you can get the Imperial really cheap because it didn't sell very well, but I don't think that matters for you.

b-side is in between a 3 stage more so than the monarch. the sub VI is a continous so it will have very little verticle pop. your best bet is either the era which has a 3 stage rocker, but is a little slower or a monarch which has a huge vertical pop and is in the top 3 fastest boards in the line.

seemed to me like the premier had good pop and was slow on the approach to the wake. I am not sure how it compares to much else though.

Jared, I just got the 07 State 140....now you got me wondering about that boards "pop"????

I used to ride the state. It pops ok i thought. I felt that the premier did a slightly better job. Jared, another thought, you might try the b side with the center fins removed. The b side is a bit faster but without those fins it will slow down. I am not sure if the b side or premier would be better pop wise.

EXTREMELY UNNECESSARY POP? How bout an 05 parks... BEASTLY!

Luke, if you set the B-side on edge it will not be slow, even faster without the fin.

I tried the legacy and did not like it so i am skeptical about the monarch. Anybody had a comparison between the era, b side, and premier

Ben I have an 05 Parks for sale, only a few rides on it. It has a mind of it's own but will boot you.

I was just thinking the B-side is faster than anything I have ridden. Consistent pop and landings as soft as a Marius.

I have only ridden the b side and premier and cant say much about the era. and what does everybody mean by fast vs slow... i think my vocab might be mixed up

Randy, i totally know what your talking about. I jumped on the bandwagon in 05 and bought that board. Some of the biggest airs i've ever gotten were on that thing but your totally right, set you edge and HANG THE HELL ON!! Coincidentally.....took some of my worst wipeouts on that board...

The new Era it has the biggest 3-stage rocker in Hyperlite's line, the 142 has a 3" rocker, and snaps you straight up

I had the '06 premier and just recently got the '08 era and I love it. There is a lot more snap off the wake and it rides so much faster than the premier did.

nick any idea how it compares to the premier or b side

i rode the touring 2008 murray two weeks ago and it had the most controlled pop of any board i have ever ridden (including cwb absolute or marius). i remember riding an 05 parks and it was like riding a mechanical bull. if you charged the wake too hard you were going UP and then coming down and usually not under control.

oh used to have the premier... missed that... ok that helps narrow it

Yeah I loved how my premier rode, but I like this board much better, the molded fins are smaller, I don't ride with the middle fins, so its looser than the premier, more responsive, and it also has more flex than my premier did as well
