January 1, 2007: Bethel Island Chamber of Commerce 27th Annual Frozen Bun Run at The Rusty Porthole. Signups begin at 8:30 a.m., $10 gets you your entry, tow and skis, if needed. Prizes in many categories and costumes are encouraged. A hearty breakfast is available, as well as the best bloody mary's on the island. Rusty Porthole restaurant 3893 Willow Rd., Bethel Island. All three of my boys have done the "Frozen Bun Run" on New Years Day at Bethel Island. My 11 year old skinned it wearing only his boxers and vest. He got yanked into the water by the boat driver on his dock start. Not good! It took him a few hours to get warm. You never know what you will see there, the past two years there were naked wakeboarders. Talk about "shrinkage"

You guys are crazy...I did the bun run when i was like 7 or 8...It was friggin freezing...have fun with that LOL
