Is it even worth the time and effort? I have been reading theres a realy trick to painting it, and you need to use a special etching primer to allow the paint to bond without peeling off.

For those who have attempted, was it worth it? Or money just down the drain.

I bought some Polished aluminum cans and was thinking about painting them white to match my tower but may be thinking twice.

Dont use etch primer on aluminum. Use either an epoxy primer or some companies make what they call a conversion coating for painting aluminum. Scuff them with a red Scotchbrite so you get good adhesion. It will only be a waste of money if you dont prep it right and dont use the correct materials.

Could look at getting them powder coated too.
