Anybody out there have an old school (1990-ish) Malibu that knows how to lubricate the steering cable? Steering is not too bad, but could be better. The owners manual says to have the dealer do it, but as a DIY guy, I prefer to do it myself. Please help.

There should be a couple zerks right above the rudder. If that doesn't clean it up, it may be steering cable time. I'm close to replacing one myself.

Hey Nacho,

That's what I would have thought, but I didn't find any zerks there.

Anybody else know?

Not sure where to find the zerks, but in my experience, 9 time out of 10 you have to replace the whole cable. It can be a real pain depending on how your cable is run. It is very doable for a DIY guy but still a pain. Take your time.
