Do any of you think this would work? I've found small solar panel battery "trickle" chargers for $25-70. I was thinking it would work well to keep the battery charged during the day while running the Stereo, etc. Any thoughts?

It will work to charge your battery back up or charged while running a few (small) electronics. Most stereo draw 50-150 amps and the solar panel chargers don't put out that kind of amps to keep up with the draw of the stereo. It's worth a try, I just never took the time to buy and install one because of how much my stereo draws

I know a guy who put one on his sail boat. He put quite a few actually. Said they worked wonders for keeping enough power while the boat is under sail and the engine is off.

I think there only like 1-2 amp trickle charge. IMO, not worth the hassle

I use a solar panel to charge the battery when the boat is not in use. My boat sits on the lake on a lift so after I am done riding I plug in the charger and it tops off the battery during the day while I am at work and then it is ready to go again at night. It worked pretty good for me all last summer.
