Coming up in a couple of weeks we are going on a camping trip to the local lake. It will be my first time back on the water in over a year.
I'm looking to upgrade from my old HL Motive. Anyone got any suggestions. I was just starting to get w2w's. I plan on riding for the first 3-4 days and then going and demoing 3 boards to see if I can find something I like.

I think the brands I can demo are Gator, LF, Ronix and CWB.

Definitely try out the CWB Faction and the CWB Transcend.

try the hyperlite tribute, at least half of nor-cal hyperlites team rides that board now. My favorite board ive ridden so far. Faction is a really good board too.

Can't demo Hype at this place. They have a 3 board demo for $50 (i think) and the brands are: CWB, LF, Ronix and Gator

Never really heard anything about the faction. I was thinking Watson, Witness, Lyman and Faction. Wish they had hype. I'd certainly be trying the monarch and murray.

of the companies mentioned i would try
LF lyman and Press
CWB Marrius
but, if you ever get the chance, you gota try a slingshot. Flex boards are gaining ground in popularity. The LF press is a flex board, which is why i have mentioned it, but there does not seem to be nearly the same running of popularity for it as there is for slingshot, as of yet. The lyman has been reported to have quite a bit of flex in the tip and tail, so it interests me too. I will never go back to a ridged board again, but the marrius' unique rocker pattern still interests me so i'd give it a run.

Lyman--best board I've ridden. Better all around board than Axis, Watson or Shane and those are all great boards.
