Brad D is that an '89. I have an '89 and I want to do the same thing with the tower and the "AIR" decal. I've check the2001.com and planetnautique.com but haven't come up with any good leads on where to find that sticker. I ask my local dealer about them and I don't remember what they said. I think they wanted something insane for the price on them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or any one with info. Thanks.

The sticker came from Southwest Correct Craft. They were 100 each 5 years ago. That is when I redid the boat. It is actually an 83 model. At the time you could get a silver fade or a gold fade.

Yah we did buy it from Igor, he is a good friend of ours and when he had his first kid about 3 years ago he was thinking of getting rid of it. My wife and I didnt want some stranger picking her up so we bought it from him. Oddly enough he rides more now with us than he did before he sold it. Funny how things change. But if you ride Boca enough you will see us, Dont be shy come by and say hi.

Kevin, I used to race J-22's out of Austin and Rush Creek was one of the stops we did in early spring. Always cranking and cold during those stops in dallas. What are you doing at a sailing club?

MAC, what prop did you have on it? I want a new one. Did it make a HUGE difference, or just a lil one. I want the fct, but its 2k, and i just dont have it. Ive got an awesome stereo in it and over christmas break, we are installing a custom fiberglass box on a skylon pole. Its like nothing ive ever seen, ill prolly post pics when im all done.

Kevin, Look at new diminsion towers. They make a great FCT replica at a great price. I have read several threads that say that an acme prop makes a huge difference but that is only what I have heard.

Here is my 82 2001. I bought it with the custom interior and built the new tower this summer. It has been a great boat for me.

It was an Acme 542 three blade. I called the company and this is what they recommended for my weighted boat. The difference was huge!! So worth it. You lose a few MPH on the top end and you need to watch your RPM's on the top end and not over rev the boat. I had around 1000-1500 in the boat plus people and it was cake getting on plane. A dealer gave me a killer deal on the tower. I think it was 1100 then I had to spend 300 to have it modified to fit my boat but I think it is the best looking tower for this boat. Perfect pass was icing on the cake. The same dealer sold it to me for like $900 and something dollars then helped me install it. Needless to say, I miss it!!

Jon, the new dimensions fct is what costs 2grand, and then id want it white powder coated with blue cross bars, it adds up really quick. I had a buddy with an 02 SANTE with white tower and blue cross bars and it was SICK!

MAC, i guess the prop is on the def. things to do list. Why did you sell yours? I dont think ill ever sell mine, im just WAY to emotionally attatched. That and its almost paid off so i really wont have a reason to get rid of her.

Heres a question for everyone...i hear all this talk about PRO audio sound systems, thats just way out of my price range, but will 4 6.5inch 4way coaxial speakers bein pushed by 1000 watt max marine amplifier get the job done too? Thats what we are planning on doin in about a month, and all my friends who have done car systems say that i will have more than enough power to hear them at 80 feet

luchog, thanks. We mostly barefoot, ski and wakeskate so it really does the job well. Motor is a carbed ProBoss from a 93 Nautique. Tower was purchased off Ebay tweaked for my boat and PC'd white. take care.

Kevin - RMS wattage is much more important than max wattage.

You'll be able to hear 4 6.5's, but you'll have to be right behind the boat (or or less). It'll be audible, but not very loud.

HCLD is the way to go - no comparison.
