x45 questions

Been waiting for an 06 VLX with a hammerhead but they are tough to come by. My MC dealer has two loaded x45s they say they will deal on. Ques. How is the wake? How does it compare to other boats like the new X star? What features does it have that the x star doesn't have and vice versa. How is the surf wake? TIA

'06 VLX's are hard to come by? I'd say so, since the factory just started making them, and I don't think anyone has yet taken delivery of one.

Have you demo'd both. If not, you should. I would not consider a boat if I had not given it a good test.

I am sure the x45 is nice, but man! an 06 VLX with the hammerhead would be really tough to beat, IMO (which is very prejudiced).

Get out and take a demo. The 05 and 06 VLX should perform the same. I have the Monsoon motor, and it is fantastic, but the hammerhead would smoke, especially when really loaded up with weight. I run full MLS, 2-400 lb bags, and about 5oo in lead. The only times I wish I had the bigger motor is when I run all that weight, and have more than 5-6 people. Other than that, no prob.
