So fellow WW readers, the 2004 Pro Tour season is officially over and I am now in Scottsdale, AZ. I hope everyone enjoyed the coverage of this years tour stops. I really don't know where everyone rides around here other than lake Bartlett. Who is where and how often do you guys ride? Looking for pulls on the weekends, will pay gas and shoot photos for pulls!

Hahn, I have a bunch of college buddies down there. None of them ride though. I get down there now and then we'll have to go out and hit the local clubs next time I'm down!

I lived at 27th and Indian School Rd. when I was there. It is the hot spot for pollution in the entire Pheonix area. Wakeboarding was not yet invented when I lived there We did do a lot of hikes at dawn, and saw the true beauty that the desert holds. We also lived like vampires for much of the time as night was the only time it was bearable, and we went to school during the day.

Steven, AZ huh? Mel went to school there..you'll have fun.

As far as riding, roll over to Surfside Boat Center (Supra/Moomba) dealer and holla at Dan Lee. Good people and he'll get you out riding.

Steve,

Glad to see so many people hooking you up in Az.

I think it would only be fair for you to let them
know about your incurable rash, and the frequent seizures prior to accepting any pulls from people you don't know.

What about these private lakes I've been hearing about?
Old    aram            10-13-2004, 8:54 AM Reply
Steven,
I'll call you back in a bit. I think we might be heading out to Sahuaro on Saturday. I'll also give you the inside scoop on the private lakes... They're not all they're cracked up to be.

OK, I have nothing constructive to add to this post, but I thought I'd share some of my childhood memories. I lived in Scottsdale about 20 years ago, and we would go to both Bartlet and Sahuaro... one of them had a long dirt road to get to, when we would leave, later in the evening, there was always a river of tarantulas crossing the roadways... we would stop and just watch them flood across. Coolest and weirdest thing I had ever seen!!!

Hahn,

Did you enjoy shooting the CWB catalog?
Old     (solo)      Join Date: Oct 2001       10-14-2004, 7:18 AM Reply
Shooting the catalog was a great experience. Working with guys like Joey Maddock and Josh Letchworth this summer was awesome. Look for a spread of my shots in the next Wakeboarding Magazine titled "Wall Ride" I have some really great shots of Danny Harf and Ryan Wolfe riding a spillway on Lake Altoona in Georgia.

Hey Hahn! Now you live there, you'd better learn how to spell the name of the State Capital...LOL

On another note...I frequently head out that way. Scottsdale is killer. Next time I'm out there, I'll look you up!
