It's a shame that she took the wrong turns she did. It's also sad that her decisions left her 18yo daughter without a mom. Of course, I'm sure her parenting skills have been rather lacking.

She died 20 plus years ago . The real shame is like Amy Winehouse everybody knew but nobody did anything to help . Now they are coming out everywhere to show their remorse. What a bunch of hypocrites.

Exactly Seth. I don't have any sympathy for her.

Good reminder to check in and spend time with friends or family who might be struggling...

That being said I cannot get My Prerogative out of my head.

Good thing she made it in music or she would have just been another broke cracked head that we are supporting on welfare.. Sad thing when people die from drugs but she had the opportunity to do anything she wanted and that is what she chose..

Everyone says she is in heaven. But, does she meet the criteria? I guess her sins don't matter provided she embraced Jesus as her lord and savior. Is this correct?

Well, they say you don't get into heaven by your deeds.

Clearly you're not Catholic.

Roger - Great question. What do you think is the criteria for entrance into heaven? Post a better resume than the next guy? Just not killing anybody? Where do you draw the line of who is in and who is out? What if somebody comes up with a different criteria than you? Should we all be judged on our own personal morality scale and hope that scale tips in our favor? You can see the issue with the "just don't be too bad or murder anybody" criteria...how would you know how good is good enough? Nobody ever puts themself on the "wrong" side of that scale.

The bad news: Romans 3:23
The good news: Romans 6:23

I was taught a while ago, and forgot apperently, that you do not talk about 3 things with co-workers and friends; Religion, politics and ........well i forgot the third.

We're saved by grace through faith. Not works. Deeds/works are evidence of your belief/faith, not the basis of salvation. Read your Bibles. It ain't a secret.
