Any suggestions? Had the Clarion seperates in my last boat, and they were OK... Looking for something w/ more punch. Have not heard the MB's, but heard good things. Thanks for any feedback.

MB Quartz, all the way. I swapped all of the factory Clarion's with Infinity Kappa's, they are really good too.

Jay, What MB model should I look for--> 6.5" 2-way Marine, and any suggestions on a dealer? They're tough to find vs. Clarion. Thanks!

Ebay, from a reputable seller. You will find them cheaper than you will in almost any store.

Unless I'm doing a poor seach job on ebay, I come up empty for MB Quartz. Also checked marine speakers and no MB there either. Thanks!

For a 2-way 6 1/2 inch MBQuart, I would recommend the RKC 116.

Mitch, yes, ebay is the best place to find them. Any of the MB Quart are better than most, but I would stay with the Reference, Premium or if your loaded the Q-series. When searching, make sure you are searching for "MB Quart".

You don't need marine speakers, for marine use. Just don't soak them and they will be fine.

You could also try the JL Audio TR line, that is what I use for my tower system, and will be converting the boat over this spring. They are bacisally in the middle of the MBQz and the Clarion's. Crossed over right, the JL's sound great!
