I'm looking at switching out my tower to a polished look as opposed ot the black I have now. I want to see if anyone would be interested in buying my tower. I have a bimini, four board racks and a set of MB Quart speakers. Any interest?

Porter are you sure you want to do that. I have the same color scheme on my Centurion as your Tige. I think the black tower looks sweet.

I second that your whoel boat is black, stick with black it looks good.

Actually the tower I'm looking at has part polished chrome and part black. It's similar to the 2005 Tige' tower but it's made by Samson. It's $3200 though so I would need to sell this one in order to get it. It looks bad-ass I'm just not sure if I can sell mine.

Not telling you how to spend your money, but its a sweet boat already, if it ain't broke don't fix it

Do you have a picture of the Sampson Tower?

Samson Razor
2.5" diameter
I'm doing the same thing. Black tower with polished down supports on our 05 Tige.

Porter, your nuts. I have a better idea... why don't you just sell me your boat at a "friend" discount, and go out and buy yourself a new 24V with the '05 tower?

The tower you have looks way better IMO.

porter ~ I think both towers look good but to spend that kind of money on a tower, I don't know. I would keep the one you have.

Just think.. you have a 2003 Tige and you want a 2005 tower. In two years are you going to change in again? You know the tower are just going to keep changing.

Anyway I would agree with everyone else. good luck.

We sponsored the Live2Ride tour last year and we took their unused silver powder coated tower off their 2004 Tige 24V and put our tower on the boat for the tour. We still have the Tige factory tower with bimini at our shop and we need the room. If anyone is interested and can pick it up in Atlanta let me know.

I'm with these guys. Keep that original tower, Porter. To me, it just doesn't justify the cost. It just seems like change for the sake of change.

Wow. Nuts. You may take less of a loss selling the old boat and buying a new boat -- plus, you will have a newer boat under warranty.

How much for the old tower??
Old    mikep            01-20-2005, 10:28 AM Reply
Hi Kirk,

I don't think it will fit that boat unless you have a 100" beam. I believe the 21's have the 94" beam, correct?

The main reason I would go to the samson tower would be for the 2.5" thickness. Brent and I are doing a stereo upgrade and we will have 7 lights, 6 cans and 4 board racks on our tower. When you get that much weight up on the tower it gets heavy and tends to wobble a bit when you hit big waves. With lights and one pair of speakers it's super solid, but with all the stuff we will have up there the 2.5" tower would make for a super sturdy tower.

If nobody wants to buy my tower we'll stick with it but if we can sell it for $1500 or so we may do the upgrade.

Two owners is a great thing -- everything is HALF PRICE!

Porter, lay off the crack pipe! You're nuts! Everything is half price until Porter gets upgrade fever, then we both end up spending the same as a normal boat owner!

So apparently Brent isn't as eager to upgrade as I am! :-)

Go back to work...it isn't good for you to have too much time on your hands to think about this stuff. Dangerous! I was just joking with my earlier comment by the way.

In Porter's defense, I would have to agree with his reasons above. also the swing in board racks. I have limited experience with other towers, but the Samson makes the Pro Flight on my friends Centurion look like it was made by five year olds. The welds on these towers are very impressive.
Porter- I should have mine on our 20V the middle of next month, let me know and I will bring it down to Sammamish for a little cold weather riding- CHRIS

The boat show gave him this brilliant idea. The new Samson tower is sweet though. Do it if it will eliminate the wobble.

Who's gonna step up?
