Hi,

I'm looking for a spare propeller for my supreme.

I know ACME, OJ and MICHIGAN props but I wondered if there was any other brand worth to mention. I know acme is a good name but what are your toughts about those different brands?

I'm on a tight budget, it's my first season boating, and I've spend a lot of money already.

Also, if you have a decent, well balanced prop for sale, i'm interested, depending on the specs.
I already have a acme 13.5 X16 LH 1 1-8 and I would like a lower pitch prop, with the same size.

thanks

They're all expensive bro so I see no point in deviating from ACME. They offer great products and product support.

I currently have a deal on an OJ 4 force prop 13X13. I want it asap and don't have 500$ to spend on a new acme prop.

Will this be okay on my boat? (08' supreme v220, 330hp black scorpion engine)

The 13 X 13 will not work on your boat. If you are currently running a 13.5 X 16 you have a gear reduction transmission, the 13 X 13 is for a 1:1 transmission.

Chances are if you ding your prop, there might be other damage that even a new pop won't fix. Bent shaft, strut, motor needs to be realigned, etc. $500 is a lot to tie up for just in case.

I went from Acme to OJ based upon my mechanic's advice. OJ's are more durable. I am getting my Acme tuned to use a a spare.

Being more durable also meens that it makes it easier to damage other things attached to the prop and makes it harder to be repaired if it is damaged.

I have a 13.7 X 17.5 1 1/8" LH prop for sale - $250 + shipping. Its in perfect condition and was the stock prop for many Supra and Moomba V-drive boats. Only selling because I got another wakeboard prop for my back up.

Would not agree with either. More durable means the blades are a bit thicker on the OJ. The prop will bend in an impact, just not as easily as the other. Not to say the shaft will bend before the OJ prop will. A thicker prop is much easier to repair, and lends itself to more repairs, than a thinner prop.

I stand corrected. Sorry.
