Starting to do some research on a new boat and just wondering what everyone considers the best wakeobaring boat for the money? Any thoughts on Centurian Cyclone or Moomba Mobius LSV? Others? Thanks!

I love my Cyclone. What you are going to find a lot of people like a lot of different boats. Your best bet is do your research on the boats and dealers. Go for a several demo rides and pick that boat that best suits your needs and pocket book! (Message edited by krbaugh on October 14, 2005)

Best bang for the buck .... SANGER V215..... HANDS DOWN... not to get the bashing going, everybody pretty much makes a great boat (BU, MC, etc), just depends on your personal likes etc, but when its money alone... I rather save 10k-15k on the boat (not buying the name etc.) to spend else where. Now if I was rich and money was not object then that changes things!

You need to talk to a bunch of local owners and find out which dealers have sh**ty service departments. Then choose from the remaining brands. When your new ride needs maintenance in July, sits in the shop for a month behind their line of bass boats, is returned to you broken, and goes into the shop for another month you're not going to be happy. The first two boats I owned I sold because of the service departments that came with them.

Another biased vote for the V210. Next choice would be X-1, but all around the Sanger takes the cake for ride, wake, fit and finish. Side note is I've never failed to have fun on any wakeboard boat so go demo and ride behind as many as possible.

Sanger V210 or V215 the best wake and best boat for the Money. You cannot go wrong with a Sanger. It also Depends on where you will store your boat a V210 will fit in most Garages

I live in So. Cal and am trying to find a Sanger dealer. Went to a Centurian dealer today (Same company but he didn't really sell Sanger)...ended up suggesting a Elite V-drive with "Air Warrier" package...trying to figure out if it's a good wake boat...really would like to look at the V210!

Centurion and Sanger are not the same company they are not built at the same plant. The only connection is they are both sold by the same distributor Kal Kustom west of the Rockies The Elite V-drive with "Air Warrier" package is a good wake boat the The Elite V-drive C4 with "Air Warrier" is better. Like I said before DEMO!

The Elite will have a little more room, but the Sanger will have a better ride and wake.

Any idea how either Elite V compares to Cyclone or Sanger V210?Am trying to demo but live in So Cal near the ocean and they want to charge $250 for a demo (refundable if you buy) and they want to demo in salt water...so still working on it.

250 for a demo? what ever. You might as well spend the money on a trip up here and hit the Delta. Then you can just run over to Delta Sport Boats and pick out your new Sanger.

The same applies for my Centurion dealer http://www.clarkboat.com make the Trip and drive home with a new Centurion I understand why they want to charge the $250.00 it will eliminate the joy rides but no dealer around here charges anything for a demo ride

The Cyclone, Elite V C4, Avalanche, and Enzo all run on different sizes of the same hull. The Elite V is an Old ski hull that has been in the line for years. It throughs a great wake but does not have near the a ride as the Cyclone, Elite V C4, Avalanche, and Enzo.

Never even seen a Sanger here in Orlando, but i'm pretty happy with the Cyclone C4. 1,250 lbs of ballast throws a pretty steep wake and handles pretty nicely. Only complaint I have is the left side of the wake can be a bit washy, but with the right weight distribution and speed it cleans up pretty easily.

Looked at a Cyclone C4 today and liked it but dealer said if you ever want to slalom ski, the Elite V would be a better option...any comments about slalom potential just for a free ski now and then?

Like I said on your other thread Well if your going to slalom behind a Cyclone do it on a shorter rope 22 off or shorter and go 30 or faster...It all depends on what your are used to. If you are used to sking behind a Slalom specific boat your not going to like it if you are coming from a I/O don't wory about go for the Cyclone! The Elite V is a old slalom boat coverted to a V drive it is a good wakeboard boat but the new boats Cyclone, Elite V C4, Avalanche, Enzo are better wakeboard boats. Get him to take you for a demo in both boats!

I'd never demo a boat from a dealer that was gonna charge me for it! Tell them you like the boat, you're gonna buy a boat in the near future, and wanna demo a few diffrent boats. If they wanna charge bounce. I could understand a credit check maybe, but cash upfront? I'd find another dealer even if I had to go to another brand. Call centurion and tell them you like there boats, and wanna demo, but don't wanna pay $250 to do this. Ask them to suggest another dealer. I'm sure they'd hook you up with someone, or set that dealer straight (Message edited by jeff359 on October 16, 2005)

Any idea on price/quality/performance comparisons between Sanger V215 and Centurian Elite V C4? I am looking at both and they seem very comparable. Thanks for any input you have!

Centurion & Sanger are constructed in a totally different way. Sanger is old school wood construction with a life time warranty on the wood that they use in the boat. http://www.sangerboats.com/craft_wood.htm The Centurion Elite V C4 is all composite no wood construction. http://www.centurionboats.com/ahead/design.html People love both brands! I believe the fit and finish & quality are similar.

both look like great boats. curious how many adults fit comfortably on the V210...seems like there is no problem on the 215 but am a little concerned about space on the 210...thoughts?

I have said in another post that 5-6 in the boat while pulling is comfortable . I have had 8 before but is not ideal . Also depends if your using a beach or shoreline as home base as opposed to staying in the boat all day and boarding .
