I got the new sa350 loaded up. Just wondering though what you all thought about the 350 vs 450 or 550. Esp in regard to resale. I don't see the 350 being any issue as far as performance for me.

The more ya spend up front, the better the resale.. If your content with the 350 do it.. But if you want higher resale, spend the money on the bigger motor to get a bit more when you flip it.. Basic analogy...

I think the 350 will be plenty for most people. If you plan on being at elevation or running a ton of weight you might jump up, but it is a big price jump between the 350 and the 450. I had been debating the same thing cause I was thinking about ordering one as well. Sweet boat.
By the way congrats! What colors?

I don't know % wise if it will pay to option to it, but it will more than likely resell for more if it has the 450 vs 350. As in 2 boats side by side all other features the same the 450 will be worth a little more or will sell faster for the same. Now if the 450 is 2% more no one can say for sure if it will resell for 2% more. But yeah they are usually worth a bit more with an engine upgrade. Seems like the older the boat the less it matters as with most options.

The 450 is a $8,960 option and the 550 is a $13,770 option. All from Supra's website

With them being that much I doubt you are going to recover anywhere close to that. So if you are doing it for resale then I would say it WOULD NOT be a sound financial decision.

I have gotten in arguments on wakeworld about this but in my opinion getting the bigger engine will not be worth the extra investment unless the boat won't function without it. I think a lot of people on here think that most boat buyers use there boat slammed and want the perfect pro level wake. In my opinion less than 25% of potential wakeboat buyers actually care about a pro level wake. Now I am not saying someone spending the extra money wont get back any of it in resale but they surely won't get back most or even half of the option cost. If the boat works well how you are going to use it with the 350 than you are just fine.

Absolutely right. You might get a grand or 2 but nowhere close to the 9k. So like I said above if you are doing it for resale...not a good financial decision. 350 should be plenty.

I usually just use my boats for a season before i sale them. I have always had great luck out of Supras. I committed to buy the 350 last night as it was sitting at the dealer but when I got home i was thinking about the different engine options and I can not get supras website to work. I think for the 8-13 price difference it would not be worth it. I may call and see what the actual cost would be. Either way I think it will be a great boat.

I was going to type out a long winded post about why a 450 would be better, BUT! You only keep your boats a season so the 350 is probably a better deal for you in terms of resale. Owning the boat for 5 years or more I would say 450

Well if you get the boat and keep it for just a year you will obviously not recoup the entire 8 grand to upgrade. If you keep the boat for say 5 years you want to make sure you get exactly what you want, and never say "i wish I had gotten"... Plus in 5 years you may be riding at a level where you or your crew NEEDS the extra weight and a bigger motor will help. I just hate getting something and then saying "I wish I had gotten x y or z"
