I'm looking to buy a Slingshot but keep going back and forth on which one. Which board has the most pop? The Hooke or the Recoil, because in the description it says both have the most extreme pop. Also, which one out of those two, or out of all their 2011 boards has the most flex?

Thanks

have not tried the new ballistic line, but here are my thoughts

it would make sense to me that the recoil would have more flex as it has no channels in the bottom. those channels in the hooke will make the flex just a bit more ridged. i remember a post in the past from a slingshot rider comparing two pieces of paper- one was folded to make channels and the other was not. the folded paper will not flex as much and retain its shape a little better.

the channels on the hooke is in a sense a channel within a channel. looking at pics, so you might say it has even more an abrupt rocker line through the center of the board.

also i have heard a few times that if you ride mostly boat, go with the ballistic line. if mosltly cable, go with the plain bottom boards with the "re_____" names

I ride a Hooke 138, but I have not ridden the Recoil. I can say however that the Recoil does have more flex than the Hooke because the Hooke was designed to be stiffer so it could be more rider friendly behind the boat. Both boards are great boards to have at a cable park though.

i have a 2011 recoil and i love it nice flex and the hooke just has the carbon capped walls so flex level on it is like a bit stiffer but noticeable

Do you guys use fins on the SS boards when you're behind the boat?
