I am guessing you are stationed at Sheppard? Is there any good lakes/rivers to ride up that way? I know within a few hours there are some excellent riding spots. From where you are, I would take a long weekend and hit up the Trinity River to the east. I am stationed down at Dyess in Abilene and we usually ride on Lake Nasworthy in San Angelo or at Lake Brownwood in Brownwood Texas. The wake scene in San Angelo is actually suprisingly big. There are several dealerships there to include a Tige and Malibu dealer. There are plenty of riders and the a killer ski circle that has an island in the middle. Riders literally just take turns riding in the circle because the water is almost always calm due to the man made island protecting from rollers. If you ever get a wild hair up your ass, hit me up and come on down. There is also a wakeboard tourney happening on the weekend of July 15th on Lake Nasworthy that is usually pretty fun.
