Sorry to be off topic...

Has anybody added a third row seat in thier Tahoe or Yukon? I have access to a buddies seat that matches my interior but I need to install the brackets. There is a set on e-bay for about $100 but that seems pretty high for some little metal brackets? Also I am not sure if I want to destroy the factory carpet?

Comments/suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike

haha sounds like a sweet deal :-) Did you really have a head on with a Hummer? That must have been a rough experience

I wouldn't worry too much about the carpet, but the brackets looked spot welded in on the 04 we had. I'd imagine you'd roll the carpet forward, and have to cut pretty big holes in the floorpan. All 4 were just kinda out in the middle of the floor IIRC.

sounds like Jude doesn't really want to sell it???

If anybody can take a pix of the rear carpet holes around the seat brackets I would appreciate it.

thanks,
Mike

I've done it. They are heavy duty brackets worth $20, but I couldn't find any cheaper than $100.

When you cut the carpet is slides back under the brackets. It's not really noticable. I also still have the big floormat in the back so I can cover the brackets up when I have the seats out.

My wife has the camera in TX, so I won't have any pics for a few days.

I believe the seatbelts are attached to the seats that I will be borrowing from my buddy.

That's a really cool offer to use your burb but I think I have it figured out with our Tahoe... THANKS!

The belts are attached. You also might try searching around on fullsizechevy.com for others who've done this mod. Let us know how it turns out.
