This looks legit except for the seller's zero feedback. If this is real, that is a lot of boat for a small price.

you can always tell its a scam when the seller wants you to contact him before bidding. howver this one seems a bit different. have the scammers become a bit smarter and changed the way they list it. for one the price is not a ridiculous.

Ask for proof of ownership would be my first thought. Second, look at the high bidder, notice anything suspicious about it?

He says the payment method is cash and in person - but doesnt list the location of the boat. It doesnt feel like a scam, but that price is awfully low.

they used an image instead of text. They only reason they would do that is so that ebay didn't pick up on the email address. Scam, 100% sure.

I would contact them and ask for a phone number.
Get details about the transaction and then you'll know if its a scam. If they won't take a cashiers check or don't have the papers, then its a scam. I bought my boat on ebay and was very worried it was a scam. I did all my homework to verify ownership and legality and got a great deal.

Here is the website from the sign in the back ground. Call them

http://www.sacboats.com/

The seller just joined, so I wonder if they have been a seller before and was suspended by ebay. The auction is written like they have sold before.

Dude that boat is just up the street from me right now. Been there for sale for about 4-5 months now. Back in Sept. they were advertising it for $95,000.00. Definately a scam.

Look at the Bid history. Most bidders have bid less the 3 times and only on that boat

Has to be a scam, American Marine Sports wants $79,900 for the boat. I e-mailed Brian at AMS and let him know some one was trying to sell his boat.

I was the highest bidder before ebay pulled the auction. I bid 49k but never got the chance to win it!

Watch out on ebay for this sort of thing. I was almost scammed a few weeks ago. Someone had a boat for a great price but wanted all questions sent to a different email. So I sent one to that address first and didn't hear back so I went through ebay and asked the seller a question and he told me someone hacked into his account and posted the boat for sale and that he had never owned that boat so he pulled it off, then the next day the other guy i emailed first said the boat was still for sale and it was in texas instead of louisiana and that I could still buy it if I wanted to. So needless to say I was disappointed in what I thought I had found. So watch out on Ebay.

Jay, you sound disappointed that you didn't get a chance to get scammed out of your $49k.

If you like, I'll give you my address, and you can just send me a cashier's check
