Has anyone seen or know how to set the hour meter on a 2006 24v? I started the boat today and the hour meter reset to 0.0. after about 1.5 hours the meter reset itself to 0.0 again. the only thing i could diffrent was that the "h" was blinking. Boat has 57 hours on it.
only thing i can think of is the batteries got run DEAD.

not sure but if a service shop plugs into the motor, that should still have the actual hours.

yeah I'm not too worried about the hours the deal can find that, it just seems odd that it keeps resetting its self. woundering if the engine needs to be flashed or if it is the guage.

Low battery voltage can cause the Faria gauges to reset as the engine hours are stored in a volatile memory. The engines ECU still stores the actual engine hours.

This common with Faria gauges regardless of voltage.

id there a way to reset or "reboot" the guage? I hate to spend money on it if this is a common occurance.

they can fix your gauge pretty cheap but you will never get the hours put back on it.the ecm will have the true hrs still on it.

Faria told me they would fix the guage for free, 5-6 weeks once I send it in, but they could set the hours. Guess I will wait until the end of the season.
