Cris, it's an optical illusion due to the angle of the shot - all of Vince's photos posted here are of the same event - the '07 WWSC. Each corresponding side is the same boat. So...these pictures are the same boat, same wake.

With a photographer that can get into the right angles, a wave size can be very misleading in a pic. I've got some, that while the wake is thigh to waist high, they look like 5 to 6 footers because of the angles.

I love to see the smiling on that little girl. I've seen a dad yelling at his kid from the back of his boat on how to do every little thing. Its great to see her having fun. I just got a phase 5 and I'm hoping I can get my 8 year old girl to try it out.

Roy, as I was scrolling down, my first reaction was that you are just a proud dad posting some pics of his girl, but she CAN rip!!! VERY impressive. Kind of embarrasing actually, since she is probably better than me! lol

great pics. and yes, that angle does make the wave look GIGANTIC!

Ohh... well I'm gonna try and take some pics like that next time to make the wake seem huge :-) We went out yesterday with my cousin 'cause she wanted to take some pics. While in no way I think I rip (yet!) here are some of me to add up to the girl's surfing pics.
