hello there, i have a set of fusion T3's and a clarion 1000.2 amp, my first question is when is the gain up TOO far, i heard the fusion need about 250rms each, i can turn the amp up to over three quaters, so close to 370 and they sound fine??. My second question, which may be really stupid, do i need sperate power feeds to 2 amps or can i just run one, then from the first(the bigger amp) to the second? oh and i guess the same goes for the remote on lead? any help would be great, i dont feel like blowing this stuff up before the boat first hits the water.
oh and i still cant find a good ipod install method, without drilling holes allover my new boat, have many people got the ipod in the boat?
sorry for the long post

Cheers

Do a search on here for setting the gains on the amps. its preeety easy. It does help to have another person helping you. As far as power for two amps. you have a couple of options. buy a distribution block and run one main power then bridge off from the block or run 2 separate fused power wires from the battery. Depending on how far away your amps ar form the battery and how much power there pulling will determine the guage. For the remote wire its not necessary (not anywhere near the amperage)

Most of your answers are in the archives. Personally I prefer seperate power wires over distribution blocks since the distribution blocks offer another failure point for the wire terminations. Besides two smaller wires is usually cheaper than a single BAW (big a$$ wire). Fuse them at the battery to protect the wire. As long as the music coming from the amp sounds clean you are probably not overdriving the input section.

Can you use the cupholder mount for the I-pod?
