Ok, not meaning to be too pessimistic here, but what are the major differences out there in mainlines and what justifies the premium $$ between them(aside from the obvious such as length, coating, braiding, etc.).

Example- I have a coated Bullet line, paid $40 for a 75 line with 3 sections off Ebay. I've had no issues with it and now I am looking at picking up a 2nd for the same money. Why should I spend $70-$100?

Please don't misunderstand, I know why wake lines are important vs. standard lines. (not new riding here) Just looking for some input as to why one would be better than the other.

If I missed the string on this the past, let me know. If so, my bad and sorry for the nag.

Thanks guys.

I have the same coated bullet line and it's good enough for my riding level. However, a good handle is definitely worth the investment.

I pay the extra money for the coated lines, so it doesn't tangle as easy. Other than that, I've never been able to tell the difference between one non stretch line to the next. Maybe a professional can, but ...

Agree on the handle. Spend what it takes to get a good one. Love my ProLine LG1

You should wait til spring and test out all of our lines one night Seth. Jason, Jeff and myself all have different lines. You could ride all four that night and see if you can feel a difference in your riding style.

Still struggling to justify 2x the price even if it feels different. I'll give it a shot.

I cant feel a difference between my uncoated bullet line and my buddy's Ronix RX8, and I'm pretty sure there is a price difference there ;). I have no idea what the difference in price is for between coated lines.
