The convex-V hull likes weight in the front. I've ridden a 20V a few times, it was best with 600 pounds in the back & around 1500 pounds in the front. Probably a bit extreme for every day riding but the wake was very thick and solid. The 20V doesn't have a ski locker so they guy I rode with used lead under the front seats. You might be able to get a big boomerang sack to bend around the front under the seats, with that you get enough pounds forward IMO.

The 02 models do not have the Convex-V hulls. That was introduced in 04. You may want to check out www.tigeowners.com for some input.

I guess your the expert on Tige's but I was sure the 20V hull has been the same since its inception in 02, Qudra beam excepting.

Correction, the Convex V Hull was introduced in 03 not 04. The 20V's hull was changed in 03 with the Convex V hull and then more recently with the comibnation of the TAPS2 technology.

Ta very much, it was an 03 we were riding on so I guess it had the Convex-V hull. I read the weighting articles over on tigeowners and they all seem to run weight with rear bias, I'll see if the guy I ride with has tried that out.

Wow, that is tragic, but it was bound to happen the ways those guys fly around the lakes at dusk and dawn. I hope your friends and family came out safe.

The 20V may be different, but I thought all tiges had the convex shape to the hull, otherwise the TAPS wouldn't be anything other than a trim tab on a regular boat. My 02 21V had a convex hull.

Regardless, does the 20V have the spray pockets?

My experience is the same as Darren's, pre-03 Tiges need the bulk of the weight up front.

I think the 20V and late 21i had the convex v hull in 202, while the rest of the boats didn't get it until '03. For example BillJ has a '02 20V and i have heard good things of his wake

Thats what I thought too, it seems strange they would tool a new hull and keep it for only 1 year before changing it.
