backroll, if you combined all of my attempts (scattered), probably around a month or so. Tantrum followed the week after.

HS backroll and tantrum I got both within 4-5 tries. I landed my first TS Backroll on the first try (w2w). It's really all about the preparation before trying a new trick. Personally, I think the trampoline is the way to practice, not killing yourself for months on the water.

Tantrum, 6-8 sets over 2 or 3 days. Backroll, about the same.

i don't think they're saying how long they had been wakeboarding before they learned a backroll
but how much time it took to land... did it take you 4 years to land a backroll?

my goal is to just land on by the end of summer

Hannah, it totally depends on how much water time you're getting, the quality of your wake and most importantly how determined you are.
It took me 3 or 4 years before landing my first invert. Our seasons are short and my wake sucked, but I just tried and eventually got it. Backroll
