Is it cool to use the Penzoil Marine 15w-40 that indmar uses? We do run extra ballast but would be changing the oil every 20-30 hours ourselves. Thanks in advance.

I've heard from mechanics that penzoil is the worst oil out there, valvoline, or castrol is better, i have a centurion and my manual says to use 30 wt.

Pennzoil is fine. I don't use it but it is well refined. I use pure synthetic because it's better when you start at the beginning of the day and I don't have to change it too often. (Lazy)

Here we put Shell Rotella T 15w40 in all the boats.

I use rotella T in mine also. get the engine warm before you change it, they drain sllooowwww.
