The midwest is filled with wakesurfing contests these days. Thw whole family loves the Lake Washington gathering each year. There is an incredibly friendly vibe and a warm wholesome sense of character amongst folks. People smile and greet you as you're walking and it's "weird" to NOT at least say Good Morning as you pass people on the street.

JUST to make folks in California jealous, there is water EVERYWHERE. :-) Lake Washington, while not deep, has water in the 30 foot range in areas. Plus, it's that deep all year long...well except when it freezes over. :-)

The local papers cover the event, speak well of it and the community is supportive of the event.

A Centurion Enzo and Typhoon pulled the wakesurfing part of the event. Inland Surfer sent a new 2007.5 Red Tide as a prize.

If you get the chance, it's well worth the trip.

I have a ton of pictures, but it will take me a day or two to get them resized and posted. In no particular order:
