One of my buddies wanted me to do something inspired by the Eddie Van Halen guitar of the 80s.

Haven't glassed it up yet, but thought it came out pretty fun.

Being a child of the 80s, that totally rocks. Will it hold up a 230 lb lake giant?

Hey Blair -- thanks! This shape (Wombat 4'8") would probably handle 230lbs. Handles my 200+ very nicely.

I have another shape that is a bit longer for the big boys (Warthog - 5'2")... i'll try to post up the profile sometime...

it needs gold letters on the tail with 5150 and stainless fin boxes and black poly around the top padding that would be killer
if you ever wanna get rid of it pm me
i really like good stuff

Hey Matt -- I wish stainless fin boxes were available! That would be killer!

I finally got this thing glossed up and laid some traction down. Xtrak from Wakeoutlaws.

Anyway -- in light of the heated debate going on re the WWSC. Thought I would post up something to lighten things up a bit...

At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the design, but after seeing the finished product I have to say that board looks very nice. Great job!

The board and that background, my head hurts a little.

i have a friend who would machine some stainless fin boxes if he could get say a request for 20 or so of them
do you think anyone would be interested
i know they would be heavy but they would look kickin on that board or a carbon board

Why don't you just paint the boxes before installation? You could touch up where it's ground thru and apply a little resin as you are doing your final polish.

Copper and chrome metallic finishes:
