I have a buddy looking for a 2011 Ibex. Is anyone making great deals on 2011 stuff right now?

Thanks in advance

I like evo.com. They usually have pretty good deals and free shipping. Get on their email list and they will send you sale updates.

There shouldn't be any deals out there on new stuff yet. I reccomend buying one from the nearest shop you can walk in to. You may save a buck or two shopping the internet, but you will probably give it back in shipping. Plus, when you buy from a shop you will get more personal service, access to one on one expertise and in the long run build the kind of rapport that will almost definately lend to hook-ups/support down the road.

If you are purely buying on price, look for a 2010. The shape did not change and there should be a few deals out there that could save you a few bucks.

At the House the more you spend the more free stuff they toss in Free Sunglasses, 1yr subscription to Snowboard Mag, and a Free Gator Drew Wakeskate.

FYI the 2010 and 2011 ibex are identical. other than graphics, boat shape and design is identical. i just picked up a 2010 and saved a ton of cash. plus i like the older metal like graphic way better.

I believe they changed the foam or something but I could be wrong? When I broke my 2010 my dealer replaced with a 2011 at the end of last season.

Yeah i know the 2010 and 2011 are the same shape/design. He just likes the graphics better on the new board, but not unwilling to buy a 2010 if it is a great deal also. I have actually been trying to talk him into a Bill board, but he thinks he would like the kick off the wake of the Ibex. Anyone have a good comparison of the Bill and Ibex? I have a Viva, but have not ridden the Bill or Ibex.

They have improved construction for 2011 but if that doesn't concern you then you should be able to pick up a 2010 at discount. Pick up the phone and call around is usually the best way to find a deal.

Here is a vid with Parks talking about the 2011 Ibex
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKxjGLrKt0Q

Around 3:24 he talks about the materials used in this years model, Mod Pour Foam and Carbon R3 layed into the foam.

Quick Q is anyone knows:
If I broke my 2010 Ibex and the dealer replaced it because it was within 1 year of purchase will ronix replace my 2011 if I break it this summer, or is it 1 year since ORIGINAL purchase?

Ibex changed form 2010 to 2011, it has a toned down rocker and got a little wider. It's not just a graphic change.

The construction changed and that was my crew's biggest complaint with Ibex last year. We collectively broke 4 of them. Talked to the Ronix guys at the boat show and they raved about the new construction process and how it should cut down on the number of broken boards.

Brent (BlitzedVLX) I know our local shop extends the warranty each time they give you a new/replacement board. I don't know if all shops/Ronix do this but our shop does.

The irony in that is that at the 2010 boat show the same ronix rep was dogging slingshot saying how easily flex boards break.
